Evidence-to-Action Framework
Turning what we see into what students need next.
On my recent return visit to the International School of Älmhult, we explored a simple but powerful question:
What does this evidence tell us about what students need next?
That reflection led to something transformative—a shared framework that helps teachers move from collecting data to making responsive, research-informed decisions that truly impact learning.
The Evidence-to-Action Framework offers a clear, five-step process for using student evidence as a bridge to growth, not a box to sort learners into. It’s a practical tool schools can use in PLCs, team meetings, or coaching conversations to spark deeper reflection and action.
Try it with your team
Use the first two steps to start your next team conversation:
Gather the Evidence – What do we actually see and hear in student work or talk?
Interpret the Evidence – What does that reveal about strengths and needs?
These tiny shifts can change everything—building a culture of curiosity, not compliance.

Let’s go deeper together
If your school is ready to strengthen its evidence-informed practices next academic year, I’d love to collaborate.
