DisruptED TV Magazine: Honoring All Languages in Literacy Instruction

This week, I had the honor of contributing another article to DisruptED TV magazine. (Last month, I wrote about how reading and writing workshops enhance inquiry-based learning.)  In this piece, I tackle the topic of translanguaging and the importance of honoring all languages in literacy instruction—not just English, or whatever the "expected" language might be.  You may recall that I touched on this topic in a recent podcast as well.  In this article, we take an even deeper look at the fluidity of language skills and at our duty to empower multilingual learners.I hope you will take a few minutes to check out the article.  I'd love to hear what you think!
